本教學活動設計為素養導向之統整性主題探索活動，以「設計一份觀光地圖向外國朋友介紹我們的家鄉臺中市的美景與美食」為總結性任務。學生透過網路搜尋及訪問等方式蒐集設計地圖相關資料，再透過分組討論決定要介紹的內容並共同設計製作地圖，最後能夠運用此地圖進行家鄉特色景點與食物的介紹，與他國小學生進行文化交流活動。
