十七世紀以後科學技術不斷的進步與革新，人類的思想觀念、工作型態和生活方式產生重大變化。本課程旨在探討科學技術的發明與人類價值、信仰態度彼此的關聯姓；也能理解工業革命的背景與發展及對西方國家的影響，即西方列強重視工業發展的原因。
以雙語元素融入第4課台灣的食物產銷與食品安全，並設計雙語學習單，讓同學用簡單的關鍵英語複習地理知識，同時熟悉英語的使用情境。
All the topics in the 4th-grade social science subject are about knowing our country. In this unit, we will going to compare the lifestyles at different times. At the end of this semester, students will learn about the natural recourses of our country. Moreover, they can think about how to love and protect these resources as a 4th-grade student through the discussions in classes.
